Danger Signs: UCLA's Problems Under Ben Howland Run Deep (123 clicks)
By BruinBlueA good deal deeper than Nikola Dragovic, who is a terrible player, but who will mercifully be gone soon. Deeper than James Keefe, who tries, but who inexplicably got worse in four years. Deeper than Malcolm Lee, who has flashes of talent, but who spends every day thinking of how to get out of here. Deeper than Bobo Morgan, who is a cheerful mediocrity; or Jerime Anderson, who is actually painful to watch; or even Drew Gordon, who took off seven games into the season.

There definitely appear to be some mixed reviews from the last night's game vs Stanford. The people who went to the game seemed to view it far more favorably than those that watched on tv. I think ultimately, the reason for the optimistic view from those in attendance is because, for once this year, the crowd was actually really into the game (at least down the stretch).

Thanks for reading, here are the rest of the 10 Reasons. 5. Bruins Athletics - First to 100UCLA was the first college to amass 100 NCAA championships. 100! I know some people knock it because some were in less well-known sports like water polo but I think it's quite significant. As I mentioned earlier, UCLA has higher academic requirements for student athletes than many other schools. That means they can't just collect the best athletes in each sport.

Hello Kiffin, Meet Luke (And Jordan): UCLA "Type Of Guys" (35 clicks)
I want to end the Friday night on a positive note and put aside all the anxiety and frustrations around our basketball team. Thank fully we have the football program giving us one sign after another about how Rick Neuheisel has changed the zeitgeist around UCLA football program.Let's go back to the Super Wednesday when CRN closed out another excellent recruiting class. That day started off with a bang with the signing of Jordan Zumwalt, the four start LB from Orange County (and for a while Stanford Cardinal's most highly rated commit for the class of 2010). While we all rode the Zumwalt roller coaster to a happy ending, there was another amazing story behind his signing of a Bruin LOI.

Hoops Game Day Roundup: Angry Bears Looking For Vengeance In Pauley (8 clicks)
It would help if Malcolm Lee plays more like a pitbull (on both ends of the court) than a poodle. Let's start with a quick follow up on the bruhahahah over Malcolm Lee's twitter who fired off what clearly appeared to be a shot against Ben Howland's scheme at UCLA, right after his team's close victory over a bad Stanford basketball team. While the tweet was deleted within couple of hours, there has been no explanation and no followup tweet from Malcolm. So as of right now that tweet pretty much speaks for itself in terms of how the supposedly the best player in UCLA's backcourt feels about his head coach's game schemes.

Well hello there everyone. Get used to a new addition for our lexicon. Ben Ball Poodles.
