Bruin Recruiting Train Moving Along: San Diego Linebacker Aaron Wallace Commits To UCLA (25 clicks)
UCLA's recruiting under Rick Neuheisel continues to move along at a nice and methodical pace. Bruins just picked up its first commitment from the defensive side for the class of 2010. Brandon Huffman from Bruin Report Online.com reports that Aaron Wallace, the three-star linebacker from San Diego (Calif.) Rancho Bernardo, committed to our Bruins today over his Dad's alma mater Texas A&M. Wallace becomes the 6th commitment for the class of 2011 (well he would have been 7 th but we will let Junior Pomee take his time).

2010 UCLA Bruins Football Predictions (17 clicks)
The UCLA Bruins earned their first bowl win since 2005 when they came from behind to defeat the Temple Owls 30-21 last year. Head coach Rick Neuheisel will enter this third year on the sidelines, hoping to improve on a 7-6 record. However, there might not have been a bigger beneficiary of the sanctions brought down on USC than their cross-town rival. A Top 10 recruiting class followed, as the Bruins look to be set for a future run at a Pac-10 title.

Prelude To 2010 Preseason Camp: UCLA Receivers/Tight Ends Depth Chart Analysis (47 clicks)
Last spring we put together a fairly extensive review on our wide receivers and tight ends before heading into the camp. The dynamic around this talented crew hasn't shifted all that much since the end of the camp. There were 3 developments personnel wise following that analysis during spring: We had an injury during camp as highly touted transfer from Josh Smith had to sit out after an MRI revealed a tear in the posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.

Of course, Tenneesseans know all about Kiffin's lack of professionalism — after a whopping 14 months as the Vols' head coach, Kiffin abruptly quit for the USC job after Pete Carroll's departure for the Seattle Seahawks. During his time at Tennessee, Kiffin managed to accuse the Florida and Georgia programs of recruiting violations, insinuate that a Florida high school would go out of its way to impede one recruit's ability to sign with his program, and committed several violations of his own along the way.

Prelude To 2010 Preseason Camp: UCLA Running Backs Depth Chart Analysis (67 clicks)
From offensive line let's shift over to our running back position where the Bruins will have a decent mix of experience and young talent (with explosive potential) for the first time in many years. As UCLA football fan we haven't seen a consistently exciting rushing attack in years. Last time we saw a decent Bruin running game was few years ago when we were watching the individual exploits of MJD helping to mask the deficiencies of the dreaded Dorrellian offense.

USC football is going to walk. There will be no NCAA jail. What, you haven't heard? Lane Kiffin told me. Actually, he told all of us the day he took the job in January. USC's coach is a lot of things and stupid isn't one of them. He didn't replace Pete Carroll knowing that his program was going to get The Big Haircut from the NCAA... Postseason ban? It ain't happening. Crippling scholarship cuts? No way. Those are really the only two issues USC has to worry about. Anything else, USC can handle.
