The Bruins ground out an 11-point halftime lead. In the second half the Bruins would see nearly all of that lead disappear in little over five minutes, but still led 46-43 with under 15 minutes to play. From there, the lead never got below three points as several Bruins would step up and knock down shots.

Ben Ball warriors survive a MAJOR scare against Ernie Kent's Ducks, but thanks to JS's clutch shots (and best game of the season) manage to pull out a nail biting win to pull out a road sweep in Oregon.

Howland also said he is hopeful this is the last time center Alfred Aboya (fouled out) is in foul trouble this season, and he talked to Aboya about that after the game.

Most of what the coach repeatedly tells players relates directly to the Bruins' trademark style of play. The first time Ben Howland reminded Drew Gordon to put on a sweatshirt after practice, Gordon didn't think much of it. Only later did the UCLA center realize his coach was dead serious about bundling up.

We returned to East Coast late last night wishing luck to all the Penn State fans who were streaming out of LAX. I will put up a football open thread later today for folks who might be checking into the actions today. As the bowl season winds down, the college football world will gradually begin exclusively focusing around hoops. It looks like conference season is heating up around the country already as evident in some of early upsets suffered by UConn, Oklahoma, Louisville, and Purdue in losses just this week.
