Daily News: "The Bruins are on to something under Rick Neuheisel" (47 clicks)
If you read the LA papers today, you'll essentially see how the LA (Trojan) Times covers UCLA football, as opposed to others. The LAT has the basic story and one absurd somewhat detrimental (and now totally debunked. -N) piece by idiot TJ Simers that casts a shadow over the program. I was pissed... they also report on Brian Price's departure and other losses we'll be facing and that's it. We won a bowl game and this is all we get??

An Evening To Remember: For Bruins In DC (39 clicks)
Well where do I start? I am still too spent and tired to coherently lay out all my thoughts and reflections from a memorable 48 hours in DC. The euphoria included not only seeing my Bruins in person for the for the first time in 8 years (my last Bruin football game in person was the debacle in Stanford in 2001) but also catching up with number of friends I haven't seen in a while and also meeting some of the community members here on BN.

EagleBank Bowl vs Temple Owls Video Highlights (54 clicks)
Fittingly, Kevin Craft came on in relief for Kevin Prince to finish out the win. After a couple of hand offs, he picked up a first down on third and nine to all but end the game. Thanks Kevin for your two years of service as a true Bruin Warrior, showing a lot of heart and grit. As usual, the Bruins started slowly with the defense giving up a touchdown on the Owls opening drive. After trading possessions, Terrence Austin got us great field position with a 47 yard punt return to the Owls 46.

Bruins Show Grit & Athleticism To Win Bowl, Finish Above .500 (29 clicks)
It certainly wasn't a pretty first half. The Bruins flat out didn't show up to play in the first 30 minutes and even in the second 30 minutes, it wasn't a perfectly played half for UCLA, but they did what they needed to do to win the game, 30-21. That's a bowl game win, a great way to send the seniors off and an 7-6 record for the year, which is the first over-.500 season under CRN. Here is your box score.
