Our OL situation is not looking as desperate as it was last Fall. It's not where we need an above average program to be yet but Coach Palcic now has few more options via a healthy Sean Sheller (who is working hard to get back in full form), a bigger and more physical Nate Chandler (who is settling in at OL spot) and Kai Maivia at C. So it's a little bit more managable. Palcic is hoping he will lot more options this Fall.

Quarterback Chris Forcier, who was granted a release from UCLA, was looking at Ball State and Purdue for possible transfer options. Since UCLA's quarter began Monday and the Bruins start spring practice Thursday, there has been some chatter Forcier could change his mind and return to the team and play receiver. I asked Bruins coach Rick Neuheisel is he expected Forcier to be at Thursday's practice. "I don't think he'll be around for spring,'' Neuheisel said.

Kahlil Bell said he wanted to improve the 4.78 seconds he ran in the 40-yard dash at the NFL combine in February, but he didn't better it by much. He clocked in at 4.74, according to some of the scouts at UCLA's pro day.
